Innovation in Property Management

Purpose

This class is about managing commercial and residential properties.  Topics may also include innovations in architecture, construction, and real estate pertinent to a given venue and/or audience.

Participants learn about new products, companies, and management strategies using short case studies, active discussion, and role-play.  The purpose is to become able to build key relationships in business by conversation - from basic turn taking and etiquette to brainstorming and informal presentation.

The class studies 3-4 short cases as recently reported in a business magazine focused on innovation.  Each participant receives a copy of the magazine and a case study guide with links to online resources. The instructor teaches with the magazine and with other visual media, including whiteboard, mind-maps, presentations and website.
