Project Know-how

What is Project Know-how?

It's knowing how to achieve the purposes of every team in every project – how to engage stakeholders, to team up, appreciate values, model development, plan responsibilities, empower co-workers, adapt in turbulence, and how to deliver value. It is cognitive, practical, local, and interpersonal – a capability not only in your head, but also in your hands, your heart, and your team.

How does it grow?

Project know-how grows by reflective practice, that is, by actually doing projects in teams, by thinking about the experience, and by collaboration.
The thinking is usually framed by one or more of six perspectives that began to emerge mid-twentieth century: Business, Systems, Kaizen, Plan-driven, Agile, and Design.
These days, you can use AI too (though most any AI tool you choose has likely been trained on one or more of these six perspectives).

How can I grow my own?

From your own action and thinking!  By doing your projects and reflecting on them from one of the six perspectives. Or, better yet...

 From All Six!
