Project Management Training Doesn’t Fit Early Career

Why not? As I explain in this video, there are two reasons: because of what is in project management training, and because of what is not in it. The recording was made a couple of years ago, but the reasoning is even more pertinent today, given that more early career professionals can design AI agents and do vibe coding. 

The video concludes with a sketch of an approach to learning that does fit early career professionals. It is an approach that can leverage AI, but does not depend on it. Instead, the approach is experiential and situated in project teams. It is to support this approach that we design and deliver our main service at Cogent Language, namely, long-term, low cost, one-to-one mentoring.
