Coaching Session

Cogent language is clear and persuasive. It can be created in talk, but it can not be planned in advance. Rather, it must be co-created around a theme, in real time.

Like jazz.

And like our coaching sessions. These are all about you – for exploration, discovery, and design, for problem-setting and problem-solving, and for career impact.

We have no set play list. No trainer trying to reproduce knowledge – on time and on schedule. No pre-built syllabi, templates, and certificates. No boxes for you to check or to fit into; no routine meetings with routine outputs

Instead, these sessions are really all about you. So, yes – there will be surprises. In 10 weeks of coaching, there can be plenty of them, and plenty of inspiration and outputs. Examples are unique analyses, website designs, functional sites, AI agents, job search strategies, value propositions, dynamic walkthrus and role-plays, winning sales pitches, a new job, and even a whole new business. These are all take aways from working with me that young pros like you have created in just the last year or so.

See what other young professional s (and some veterans) are saying about my coaching, mentoring, and consulting.

Themes

Our coaching is formatted for busy young professionals. In it, we co-create know-how specific to their conversations, projects, and careers.

Busy young professionals are not projects or pieces of software. And so our coaching is not like software engineering or project management. It is a little like vibe coding: outputs are defined and co-created in real time, by the rigor and imagination we bring to our sessions.

Here are some common themes of our coaching sessions:

  • Wayfinding - job search, intrapreneurship, entrepreneurship

  • Design – facilitating, systems modeling, walkthrus

  • Speaking - turn-taking – short/long; planned/unplanned

Tryout

A vintage illustration on a black circular surface shows two people, one sitting on a high stool and the other standing, with classical attire. The scene is framed by a Greek key pattern border.

You just might…you just might…want a project coach! Really.

Let me try out for the role. Go ahead. Test the vibe!

This tryout is called Cogent Language Exchange™. It is just talk, talk and listening, friendly, and confidential. But also, it is talk that is deliberately wide-ranging. We discuss your projects, your meetings, your career so far, your goals, and your ideals. In exchange, I will offer advice about it all – that is, some “cogent language” for you, going forward.

In effect, each of us is auditioning for a 10-week gig. No worries! I can fail, but you cannot. And, in any case, you will come away with some advice by an experienced coach about your projects, your project know-how, and your career.
